God did not speak to me on Sunday, Fredrick Nietzsche did. “It is not doubt but certainty that drives you mad”
Things that have been around for generations with rock-solid evidence we categorize as, “true.” We’re good at moving up the scale of certainty.
We’re also good at taking somethings we think might be true and accepting that it’s probably true like, gravity and the laws of thermodynamics.
We fail miserably coming down the scale of uncertainty, often doing the opposite by doubling down to prove to ourselves we were right all along.
That’s our trouble here. Changing your mind should be something admirable not as sign of weakness. It’s success to be celebrated and not a failure!
Nietzsche was right all along. It’s not flexibility of thought but rigidity of thought that causes irrationality and stupidity
